Birch Box: December

Hey guys,

I’ve really wanted to subscribe to some sort of beauty box for such a long time now but I couldn’t bring myself to pay 10-20 pounds a month on a box with things in it that I may not even like! But, this December I finally caved and subscribed to the Birch Box UK!

What I got in my box:

Full Sized Pixi Shea Butter Lip Balm – £8

I’m not such a massive fan of this lip balm, it has a slight pinky tint to it and my lips are already quite pink and so just makes them look even more pink! I suppose some people may like this but I prefer my lips to look a more nude colour. I also feel like it doesn’t really hydrate my lips all too much either.

Baïja Paris Caramelised Honey Body Scrub – £14.90

So far I have used this twice and both times it has made my skin feel so smooth and leaves me smelling so good. This is also 97% natural which I love – I really want to stay away from chemicals which is obviously very hard to do with cosmetics and beauty but this is amazing!

Dr. PawPaw Original Clear Lip Balm – £6.95

I don’t really like this lip product either. It doesn’t hydrate my lips at all and leaves a weird white cast on my lips too. Although, I feel like it is great for split ends and moisturising any little dry eczema patches I get in winter.

Beauty Protector Protect & Detangle – £21.50

I absolutely love this! I’ve been looking and searching for a leave in conditioner as I absolutely hate having to put a deep conditioner on and waiting half a hour and having to get in the shower again. I just spray this on my hair when it is damp and it leaves my hair smelling amazing (of vanilla I think??) and keeps my hair looking and feeling so silky smooth.

Two LOC One & Done Shadow Stick – £8 each

I am yet to use these but from the swatches I prefer the darker colour. It glides on the skin much easier than the lighter one and seems to be more metallic. However, when you blend out the lighter shade it does seem to become more glittery and sparkly and look less chalky than it does in the photograph above.

Spectrum B04 Angled Brush – £4.00

I’m not a massive fan of this eyeshadow brush either. It’s a great shape but is quite dense in my opinion and doesn’t really seem to blend out eyeshadow all too well. When I use this my eyeshadow seems to turn out quite patchy. I think this would be great for a beginner as it does fit perfectly in the crease or for someone who likes really basic eyeshadow looks.

I hope you enjoyed this post, if you are subscribed to the Birch Box let me know what you got in this months Box & your opinions on the products!
