I have seen this tag floating round the blogging world recently and since I absolutely LOVE halloween, I thought I’d join in. I’m not too sure who created it but I have recently seen it on Kat’s Chats.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE HALLOWEEN MOVIE?
To be honest, I’m a bit of a halloween film virgin and haven’t really seen many. Although, one that I have seen and I absolutely love is The Nightmare Before Christmas. This film used to frighten the hell out of me when I was younger but as I grew older I really fell in love with this film and it even features my absolute favourite time of year – Christmas!!
WHAT IS YOUR FIRST HALLOWEEN MEMORY?
My first halloween memory is probably being around the age of 5 and being dressed up in a black bin bag with a witch’s broom and hat on whilst putting up the decorations with my family. I remember we used to keep all of our decorations in a big massive Quavers multi-pack cardboard box, don’t ask, and my favourite halloween decoration was a scarecrows head that had little wire lights around its collar that lit up.
HAVE YOU ALWAYS BEEN A HALLOWEEN LOVER?
I assume when I was younger I loved halloween because you’d get, what I thought was, MILLIONS of sweets and cakes and chocolates AND I could dress up as whatever I wanted. Throughout highschool my love for halloween faded as as a young teen it wasn’t ‘socially acceptable’ or ‘cool’ to go out in full dress up and trick or treat – which is so stupid because who doesn’t love dressing up and getting free food. However, now my love for halloween has came rushing back and I cannot wait to dress up and do spooky makeup and (hopefully) even get free sweets.
HOW DO YOU GET IN THE HALLOWEEN SPIRIT?
I usually just watch halloween makeup tutorials on YouTube. This makes me so excited for halloween and I start to imagine all of the ways that I could paint my face and become a spooky halloween character, but I never actually get round to it as these YouTuber’s have incredible talent and I couldn’t even do half of what they do! I also watch halloween treat tutorials, but I’m also an awful baker and I can’t imagine creating cute and edible treats.
HOW DO YOU PLAN TO SPEND THIS HALLOWEEN?
This halloween I am going out clubbing with all of my friends. I haven’t really celebrated halloween in the past few years so I’m so excited to FINALLY be able to dress up! I’m being devil this year (I know you’re all thinking ‘wow how creative of you’) and I literally cant wait to bathe myself in fake blood and put on my cute devil horns.
DO YOU ENJOY PUMPKIN CARVING?
I absolutely loooovve pumpkin carving. Well, I say love but I cannot for the life of me scoop out all the insides of the pumpkin without giving up and throwing a strop 5 minutes into it. But, I do love getting creative and actually carving the face into a pumpkin. I remember when I was little I used to have a pumpkin carving set with a little scooper for the inside (which obviously my parents would have to do for me because of the issue I mentioned above) and three little cutters.
HALLOWEEN PARTY OR MOVIE MARATHON?
I’d have to say the party. I love a good party as I love being social, dressing up and having fun with my friends. I also love decorating places with fake cobwebs and spiders and all things halloweeny. I’d probably get quite bored of watching movie after movie and you can’t really talk to people during movies and I don’t really like staying in alone too much, so yes, definitely the halloween party.
Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed and hope you have the best halloween. See you soon.
